Have you met Tori Howell? she is Jared's oldest(Annetta's branch of the family tree). We recently visited the Ouray Hotel in Ouray Colorado. I've been told by a reliable source that William James Nix Sr.(Grandpa Nix's Father) did the woodwork in this hotel.

Family History Friday- Bluff City, Utah
"From the oldest inhabitants I learned that the founding of Bluff was attended with greater suffering and more arduous labor than any other like scheme of colonization."
Harper's Weekly, Dec. 9, 1893
Remington W. Lane

Last summer Vern and I took these pictures in Bluff. Why Bluff? Bluff is rich with family history. Jens Nielson (Grandma Nix's Grandfather) was one of the origin settlers. Grandma Nix was born there. You can take a virtual tour of Bluff City, it includes two of Jen's homes.

They are rebuilding the old fort there. It was fun to read about the history and to see the cabins.

They have built a nice monument, we found the Nielsons.

If you ever get to Bluff, the historic Mormon Cemetery is a definite must see.
