He was a skilled craftsman (carpenter). He built and/or did the woodwork on many buildings in Colorado and Utah. Many of the buildings he worked on and built can still be seen today. The three that I know of are in Fruita(little church on Maple & Aspen), Ouray(hotel), and Blanding(family home).

He must have been a multi talented man. Vern and I were surprised last summer, when we went to the visitors center/museum in Blanding Utah. We noticed a taxidermy display he had made, along with it's history.

I found it extremely interesting to read about his early family life and going to parochial school. Most of it is in his own words and he must have been a man with a great sense of humor.
